I discovered my passion for track in my sophomore year, joining my high school team. While I had natural talent, I quickly realized the importance of proper technique. Despite facing challenges and overcoming setbacks, I persevered, earning a spot on the varsity team and achieving Rookie of the Year honors. I'm dedicated to improving my speed, technique, and endurance. I'm a strong team player and eager to contribute to the success of a competitive program.
Now a senior, I am actively participating in indoor meets to prepare for a successful spring season. My current times – 60M/7.05, 100M/11.06, 200M/21.10, and 400M/55.06 – reflect my dedication and progress.
What makes me a good candidate for your team? Overcoming challenges like my form issues has instilled in me unwavering determination and a strong work ethic. What makes me different? With only three years of dedicated training, I have significant room for improvement. I am eager to learn and develop under the guidance of experienced coaches.
My aspirations are 1) Setting and achieving personal bests (PRs) in my chosen events. 2) Continuously improving my running technique and endurance.
