Elijah McCauley '21 Recruiting Profile

I have been following my dream of collegiate running since I ran my school’s annual 5k in 3rd grade. My love of the sport has grown through my  successes and both physical and mental setbacks. I have always felt outside pressure to succeed from my parents (both track and xc coaches, one of which graduated from Yale and was a world class rower) while I strive to live up to the legacy that my brother, a 4 time state champ and now collegiate runner at Brown University, has left at my school. I challenge myself to be the best both academically and athletically while I chase my goal of rewriting the school record book and winning state championships both individually in track and as a team in cross country.
