Coming into high school at Kennesaw Mountain, I thought I was going to be a distance runner, but freshman year, stumbling off the line after a brutal 3200m, my coach reluctantly asked me to fill in for the 4x400m, which was the very next race. I decided to give it a shot and found my love for sprinting then and there. My junior year I focused purely on sprinting, and when I started climbing the ranks and becoming one of the best sprinters on our team in the 100m, 200m and 400m, I knew, I found my passion. In order to follow my passion, I constantly strive to get better, by putting in hours of effort in training, recovery, and diet, and I am not afraid of asking questions in order to improve.
Being in the Magnet program at Kennesaw Mountain HS, academics are already a huge part of my life, and coming into college, it will be no different. I believe that I have the grades, talent, work ethic, and enthusiasm to compete at the collegiate level, and am looking forward to learning and improving every day in order to maximize my potential as a student, and an athlete while competing at the collegiate level.
