Jamal Clemons '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jamal S. Clemons. I will graduate May 2018 from North Cobb High School, Kennesaw GA. 

I am a track and field athlete wanting to run in college.  At an early age, I played basketball with the YMCA until I reached middle school. I transitioned to football as a running back until my freshman year it was then I discovered my love for track and field.  As a freshman, I lettered in track and field and have been successful at the JV and varsity level.  As a sophomore, I advanced enough to be placed on the varsity team.  As a senior, I am now a leader on the team often assisting the younger athletes in sprinting and relay events.

I am a member of the RSS Athletics track club going on four years. I have competed in both indoor and outdoor USATF meets in various states. In 2016, the RSS Athletics (4 X 400 meter) relay team qualified for the USATF Junior Olympics.  It’s a challenging sport, but I’ve grown to love it for the thrill and competition it gives. I have collaborated with a personal trainer to create a workout plan that will help me to improve my 400m, 200m, and 100m races as well as increase my strength and agility. 

My primary events are:

60 M Dash (Indoor)

100 M Dash (Indoor / Outdoor)

200 M Dash (Indoor / Outdoor)

4 X 100 Relay (1st leg)  (Indoor / Outdoor)

400 M Dash (Indoor / Outdoor)

I wish to receive my bachelor of arts degree in Culinary Arts once I graduate.  I am driven by an abundant amount of creativity. I have a for passion for cooking, drawing, and music. I can draw from photographic memory and create delicious meals. Additionally, I have a creative mind and I am awesome in the kitchen.
