I am focused, positive, and dedicated. During the offseason before my senior year in high school, I had aspirations to win the 800 meter dash at the sectional meet and qualify for state. During the season I saw improvements in my time as I trained harder than I ever had, including 6 A.M. workouts. Each day when I woke up I stated that I will improve and win. At the sectional meet, I placed first in the 800 meter dash. I am positive because in my running career so I've had a coach for each year I have ran competitively. I never had a thought about quitting track trough multiple changes in coaches. With each coach I have had an open mind and enjoyed running more and more.
I am dedicated on and off the track. In track I have improved each year significantly and I am eager to improve even more. In the classroom I am dedicated to become a better learner and listener as I have improved my GPA from 2.7 to 3.76 in my first three semesters in college. I would be a great addition to any team because my determination and my passion for track and field along with encouraging others that they can be successful. I bring experience as I have had a year of collegiate running experience. What makes me different is that I am willing to do what others are not and I will strive to reach my potential in anything that I do. My collegiate goal is to graduate with a degree in exercise science/kinesiology and to reach the top levels of running such as competing for national championships. I believe that in whatever I do, I am determined to be the best in anything that I do even if it takes long to accomplish.
