Payton Smith '19 Recruiting Profile

My goals since I was little is to play sports for as long as I can. I've dedicated countless hours to improve myself morally, mentally and physically to not just better myself but my team as well. I always put team first and excellent sportsmanship is a virtue I live by. I currently participate in football and track and field. My work ethic particularly stands out from my peers due to how badly I want to achieve my goals and the fire that drives me to do so. I work hard not only on the field, weightroom or in the ring but, most importantly, the class room. I have received straight A's since I began to get letter grades and a major goal of mine is to be in the top 5% in my grade when I graduate. I hope that these qualities can influence your decision to allow me to throw for your program and allow me to grow even more as an individual as well as a teammate and student.
