January 2018 I am a good candidate for your team because after every play, I tell the defensive players how many outs we have, where the runners are, and where the next play should be. Also, in the dugout I am always cheering for my teammates when they are up to bat because I feel you will have more confidence if you have your teammates by your side. As a catcher, I always support my pitcher. My college goals are to graduate in the nursing or health sciences field, perform well academically, and really focus on playing softball. What makes me different from other athletes is my character and my grades. I would explain my character as determined, responsible, kind, and loyal. What I have learned in playing this sport is that you really need to have a determined mindset, not just in softball, but in life as well. If you need to work on getting better at a skill you can’t have a fixed mindset because you will never get better. What I would like the see in a coach would be one that would can provide positive criticism so I am always aware if I make a mistake so I know how to fix it immediately. Also, I prefer coaches to be respectful and have good sportsmanship no matter what the game situation may be.
