I started participating in sports in the 6th grade with baseball. Although I enjoyed it I haven't gone back to baseball. In my 8th-grade year, I went to a new school and joined the football team to make friends. I got pummeled. Needless to say, I haven't gone back to football. That same year I found my passion, track. Participating in track and field has been the most fun I've ever had. In no way do I think the track is easy but it has taught me that the hard things in life have the best rewards. Track has also taught me how to persevere through hardships and to strive to achieve my goals no matter how far away they seem. My least favorite part about track is all of the conditioning you have to do in order to get ready or the season but without it there would be no point in competing. Competing in long jump and the sprint events are my favorite parts of track. I love the feeling of competing and being apart of a team.
