Personal Statement

My primary goal for collegiate running is to continually chase the best version of myself while enjoying the journey along the way. I am not solely focused on external achievements, but rather on personal growth and the fulfillment that comes with pushing my limits in the sport of running. As a multi-sport athlete, I have discovered success by leading and providing encouragement to others. I believe in setting an example through my focus and attention on the goal ahead. This mindset has allowed me to create a positive and motivated environment, where teammates feel supported and inspired to give their best effort.

Despite participating in multiple high school sports simultaneously, I have managed to maintain a 4.1 GPA. A key factor in my academic success has been utilizing time in class effectively. This demonstrates my ability to manage my time efficiently, prioritize my responsibilities, and excel both academically and athletically. I am a hardworking individual with a deep desire to learn and improve. I embrace mistakes as opportunities for growth, and I actively seek input from coaches and teammates on how I can improve my performance. Listening to different perspectives and incorporating feedback has played a crucial role in shaping the athlete I am today.

One aspect that sets me apart is my ability to bring quality leadership and discipline to any program. During my sophomore year, when our high school team lacked seniors, I had the opportunity to practice leadership and contribute to the success of our program. This experience helped me develop a sense of responsibility and a understanding of how leadership can positively impact a team's dynamics and performance. I look forward to continuing my running career through my junior and senior year and building on the successes that my program has had.
