Russel Johnsonbaugh '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Russel Johnsonbaugh and I go to Covington Latin School. CLS is a college preparatory, academically advanced high school. Most kids going here skip 1-2 grades, I skipped two. I will graduate high school at the age of 16. In addition to rigorous academics, I love participating in many sports but XC is where my passion lies. I swim, play baseball, tennis, track, soccer, and ultimate frisbee and participate in the audition-only UC College Conservatory of Music Youth Wind Ensemble on trumpet. 

I would like to participate in cross country in college, while getting a bachelors degree in engineering or architecture. I love XC and continue to push myself to get better and I enjoy the small tight-knit community that makes up our team.  My current PR is 18:53.30 and I expect to continue to drop time from that!
