Personal Statement

Coming into High School I wanted to try to try new things with sports and classes. I started doing Cross Country because that was one of the new things I wanted to try out. Every week into XC I started to really love and get into running. I was 1/4 people on my team freshman and sophomore year but I didn’t worry about that, I always worried about setting a new PR every meet no matter what. I ended up going from a 23.16 in 9th grade to a 21.19 my 10th grade year.

In track I have been doing anything from the 400 and above. Including Pole Vault. I was really fascinated and interesting in doing PV in 9th grade, but I wasn’t fully committed until 10th grade. It has been really fun and interesting to learn more about how to pole vault and the advancement of it. I ended up getting 9ft in competition, but 10ft in practice by the end of my 10th grade season. It is an honor being one of not that many black pole vaulters and I plan on doing it in college too.

If you are a coach looking for a dedicated and confident athlete who will never quit, I believe I am the best for your team. Thank you for looking at my profile!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
