Personal Statement
I was born into a football family, playing every sport from basketball to baseball. But, I knew ever since I stepped on the field in fourth grade, football is what I wanted to do. I was bigger then kids my age, so I only got to play one indoor season at the 9-11 age group. Outside of that, I played 13u and 14u every season. Going against that level of competition at such a young age allowed me to grow up faster then my peers, as I had to grow a mindset that would allow me to beat my competition, as I had natural size and athleticism to keep up. I learned to hold on the good, but never forget the bad. Stick to my strong suits, but never be afraid to add new things. But most importantly, don't think about the moment or it'll be gone before you can seize it.
The first club team I played for had good off field chemistry, but because of a lack of leadership and commitment, we struggle to come together. Even with our talent, we never won. So, when I played for my second and last club team and seen us going down the same path, I took it upon myself to lead by example, build on filed chemistry, and raise the competitive spirit , encouraging others to do the same. But, although my play and the team's play increase, I feel I could have done better, as we lost in the first round. My fist two years of high school, my team had the same problems as the others before. But, even with that, we made it to the regional semi-finals. Now that I'm a upper class-man, I plan on doing the same things I did for my last clubs, but ten times better, and It'll show in the next years through my play and team success.
