Personal Statement
From an early age, I’ve been interested in computers and sports. I grew up a multi-sport athlete with excellent academics, achieving awards throughout school and club soccer. My parents influenced me to run and I quickly fell in love with the sport by high school. As a freshman with not much training I broke the freshmen school record on the 5k cross country course. Now, as an upper class-man I've become a self motivated, goal oriented student athlete at Wachusett Regional High School with aspirations of running competitively in college.
As any athlete knows, continual improvement is instrumental in both personal and team success. I've learned over the years that Cross Country racing is a team sport and helping the team be more competitive is very important. We have had team losses and I've had personal losses, that have made me stronger.
I posses skills in teamwork, leadership, facing adversity, and setting goals.
