"She is weird, weird for making it this far in her dreams and even weirder for wanting to go further," this is what I was told by Region 1 ODP coach Sue Ryan. It takes a weird person with incredible passion to wake up every morning and train and to learn on the field and in the classroom and do so as though it is a fight for their lives. I am that weird person and my name is Wiktoria Ucher.
I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old and it is what I love to do. I also love to learn. As a center midfielder I need to constantly solve problems offensively and defensively and I can't wait to do the same thing in the field of engineering. I take pride in my perseverance and in my hard work in maintaining my high GPA and a starting position on my teams.
I am constantly working to improve my play and to hopefully one day play at the collegiate and then professional level of women's soccer. As for academically I hope to study aerospace and mechanical engineering and one day work in space exploration. I do dream big, bigger than most and that is how it should be.
