Personal Statement

My name is Matthew Ikini and I am a student-athlete whose interests are fixated on competing in Track and Field at the Olympic level. All through middle and high school, I've dedicated my time and energy to Track and I believe I have garnered the skills sufficient enough to compete. My goal is to help whichever team I am accepted to win not only as a freshman but through college, and watch as we all strengthen our abilities. I want to make a difference not only on the track but off it as well, in the school I attend, in the city I'm in. My academic and athletic accolades combined make this a feasible goal, and I think with the help of my peers and coaches, I can make the dream come true.
