Personal Statement
I originally started running track and field to get faster and stronger during the later football seasons. It was my sophomore year during the regional meet that I had realized how much I really enjoy everything about track and that it's my true passion and that football wasn't my thing anymore. I would later on quit and join the cross country team during the fall season. I met a group of runners that were pretty serious and took much pride in running and training and I immediately felt complete. While running track, I have realized that I am truly dedicated and give my all no matter the circumstance and no matter the outcome. I also realized from running that I have opened up more to many people and have become more confident in the way I approach most things.
I am truly dedicated to my education and plan to seek a career in some type of sports therapy. When I was five, my dad was disabled in a motorcycle accident and I have grown up with a drive to better myself and make my family proud. I am always pushing myself to be better and running helps me achieve that. When I am feeling stressed or just need time to think things through.....I run. I have been on the honor roll and I am currently in multiple AP courses and mostly achieve A's and B's. I have been labeled as a the guy that is always positive and has a smile on his face. If you need encouragement or help I will be there.
