I feel like I have been waiting and dreaming of going to college since I was very young and now it is close. I know that my years in college will define me and set me on a course for accomplishing all of my goals as an adult. Personally I want that special experience where I am proud of my school for the rest of my life, for it to be a part of me. I am academically strong but I love competing in athletics. It is a privilege and an honor to be a collegiate athlete and I will not take that for granted. What I bring to the table is work ethic, drive, hustle and a never quit attitude. All of my prior coaches up to and including high school will tell you that I am a leader, a motivator and a fierce competitor. Always known for my "hustle", I was a very good baseball, football and basketball player and gave it all up when I found track in high school. I love racing. I love track meets. I love training with my teammates, pushing each other and cheering for them. I think that relays are one of the greatest examples of teamwork in all of sports. I want to run for a school as a matter of pride. I went from being a 100M and 200M runner to a 400M and 800M, can run the 1600M and also run cross country. If there is a race, I will do my best to win it. My times are good but I feel like I am just getting started. Thank you very much for your consideration. Mitchell
