My goal for post-secondary education is to attend a Division one university, whether it is under a sports or academic scholarship. I have many qualities that would be needed for a Division one athlete such as leadership, perseverance, the ability to motivate others, and I am coachable. My leadership skills have led me to earn one of the team leaders of the track and field team as a Sophomore. I also presented a pitch for a middle school cross country team to our school board which was accepted and is now in it's fourth successful year. A time when I showed perseverance was in my Freshman cross country season. I ran the worst race of my high school career in the districts meet and the next weekend at state I ran a personal best to become an All-State finisher. I try very hard in practices and it seems to motivate my teammates to want to succeed as well. I am also very open to my coaches opinions and suggestions. I know my running form and tactics are not perfect so I am always happy to receive a coach's help to step up my game.
