Personal Statement

Last year as a junior in high school, I won the title of state-runner up in javelin with a throw of 49.55m. I have a new unofficial pr of 53m and I’m aiming for a 57m throw this year as well as the title of state champ. I have played varsity basketball all 4 years, been a two time state- cross country runner, and competed at the Track and Field state meet in a variety of events the past 3 years. I also diligently put forth effort in the classroom. I have a 32 on the ACT, 101 on the CLT, been in Beta Club all 4 years, have a 4.0 at a rigorous school, and also earned the title of CLT Regional Scholar sophomore year with a 106. I’m excited to see where God takes me in the next couple years and pray that wherever He guides me I’ll have the opportunity to use the talent He has gifted me with to compete in Collegiate Track and Field.
