When it comes to being a Student Athlete, I stand out as a dedicated, hardworking, and committed individual with a passion and desire to always constantly improve in my sport. I believe that my positive attitude and drive for excellence have not only shaped my athletic performance, but have also developed natural leadership qualities and skills that expand beyond just the field of Track. This is companied by my strong pursuit of knowledge when it comes to the importance and foundation of health and nutrition; including a full understanding of my sport as well.
Over the past few years, I have been intentional about learning skills and knowledge to help me self improve as much as possible. I often have a habit to go on and share that knowledge with others in areas I believe is crucial to athletic success, and other times, life success.
While my grades may not reflect my full potential due to the demands of my athletic pursuits and other heavy responsibilities outside of school, They in no way diminish my passion for both learning and sports.
At the same time, outside of both Academics and athletics, I am always in a constant state of self improvement. Over the years I have transformed my health, lifestyle, and day to day habits for the better. Although I have only had one full track season to compete in high school in the sport of track as a junior, this year as a senior, I am really looking forward to the results as I significantly drop my times and improve my overall performance.
A spot on a team is not the only thing I look forward to, but I am also looking forward to bringing my perseverance, positivity, and expertise to a college setting that appreciates well-rounded individuals.
