John Proctor Jr '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is John Proctor and I am currently a Senior at Hackensack High School. I received my varsity letter my sophomore year, and I’m proud of my accomplishment given my situation. During my Freshman year I broke my ankle and had same day surgery performed, that prohibited me from taking part in outdoor track that year. Track & Field is a passion of mine that I take too seriously to let such an obstacle stop me from achieving my goals. My athletics wasn’t the only aspect of my life that was stumped, my leave of school also set me back, and potentially could have ruined my overall GPA. But athletics and academics play together so I knew that school is something that should be thought of just as much as Track & Field. It wasn't until late in my Sophomore outdoor season that I found triple jump, but when I did it stuck with me. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into creating the triple jumper I am now, and there are going to be a lot more because I don’t plan on stopping any time soon. To this day I remain the hardworking, self righteous team player I set my self to be. Taking practice just as serious a every meet I participate in, because I have plans set out for myself and everything in my power is going to go into fulfilling those plans.
