My goal is to be able to run in college as well as majoring in something involving computers, although I am not sure what yet. I want to run professionally after college, and one day in the Olympics. I understand that this will take a lot of effort and time, but I am willing to put in the work to make my dream a reality. I began running in 7th grade when I ran cross country for my middle school, and later that year I ran track as well. Since then, I have improved my times drastically. Along with staying focused athletically, I feel like it is more important to stay focused academically. Grades always come first for me, and that will not change. My grades are high, with most of them being above a 90. I will always strive to keep my grades high, along with balancing that with running.
I am now a junior in high school, and I cannot wait for this upcoming year to take place. My goal for this cross country season is to run 15:45, breaking the school record of 16:04, at Thompson Park. I also want to run in Meet of Champions at Holmdel Park this year either as an individual or with the other 6 members of our varsity team. Being a team that is not even in the discussion to make it to the Group 4 race in New Jersey, that would be a huge accomplishment for us. Continuing on making it to Meet of Champions, it would be a huge accolade for our cross country program because we would be the second team in our school's history to make it to Meet of Champions. We are a young team this year, and it would be a fantastic learning experience for everyone who is there. In winter and spring track, I want to continue to improve my 1600m and 3200m times to under 4:20 and 9:25 during the 2 seasons. I am aware that it will take a huge amount of effort and time, but I am more than willing to put in the hours and
