Pablo Estua Carrillo '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Pablo Estua Carrillo. I'm 18 years old, and I'm currently a senior at Tenafly High School. In terms of ethnicity, my family is from Mexico and Spain in which both my parents and grandparents were born in Mexico City. I was born in London, England, however, I only lived there for a year. My family and I then moved to Geneva, Switzerland, where we lived for 8 years and where I became fully fluent in French. I'm also fluent in Spanish because I speak it everyday at home with my family. In 2015, my family and I moved, again, to New Jersey where we have been living ever since. At school, I consider myself a dedicated and hard-working student in all of my classes, and on my school's cross country and winter and spring track and field teams, a very devoted runner. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family and friends, watch movies and TV shows, listen to rap, jazz, and house music, drive, and go to New York City. Once I graduate from Tenafly High School, I plan to attend a university---hopefully for running! I consider myself an excellent candidate for your collegiate teams because, in addition to being a competitive and hard-working runner and athlete, I feel like I'm a very well-rounded person who is good at many things and who has had the privilege to undergo many different, and especially unique, experiences in my 17 years of living. Furthermore, I always strive to uphold a positive mindset and to embrace every life experience as it comes, making the best out of every situation that arrives in my way. Last, I pour my heart into every easy run, long run, workout, and tempo run that I do, and I always strive to obtain the best possible outcome from every meet in which I compete.
