Personal Statement

I am a 5'9" sprinter from Albuquerque, NM. I have been running competitive track on a club team for 7 years and maintain a 3.7 GPA. I started running for Cibola High School my Sophomore year and made varsity. Last year my team won state in track and field, and I contributed in the state champion 4x200 relay with a split of 21.8. This year my team placed second in state, and I participated in the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 4x100, and 4x200. I also hold the indoor state record in the 60 meter dash running a 7.12. I would like to pursue an engineering degree from a prestigious university with a great academic reputation and a great track program.
