My name is Reeve Trujillo. I am a junior in high school and attend the Academy for Technology and the Classics. I want to pursue a collegiate Track and Field career because I love the culture that this sport has to offer and I want to fully explore my potential as an athlete. In Track and Field, the environment is very friendly and supportive, and I find that this creates many opportunities in which I am able to focus on improving myself both as an athlete and as a person. To me, I am competing with myself and the tape measure more than anything else, and I love that this allows for me to push myself as hard as I can and continue to set goals and achieve those goals. I love the hard work that comes with self improvement, and I push myself through all workouts regardless of whether they are in the ring or in the weight room. Along with this, I strive to be a very supportive teammate and enjoy cheering on my teammates during their races and supporting the team in any way that I can.
I highly prioritize academics, and currently hold a 4.42 GPA. I am enrolled in several AP classes and plan to take dual credit courses in my senior year of high school. Outside of the classroom, I participate in various community service opportunities within my community and am a member of the Junior Leadership Committee at my high school. Ultimately, my goal is to find a school where I can push myself as much as possible both academically and athletically.
