Personal Statement

Although I only began my track and field journey in sophomore year, I was instantly inspired to push my limits and work hard throughout the entire year. Even before I saw any real progress, I persevered through a season-ending injury. Now, in my junior year, I am more motivated than ever to continually break my own barriers.

I am a very technically sound hurdler and I enjoy training hard year-round. Within my team, I always try to lead by example. I am constantly looking for ways to improve, and am very coachable; I strive to be the hardest working runner on the track.

Academically, I study hard and maintain a 4.0 GPA, while also receiving top scores on my SAT, PSAT, and ACT. I plan to hopefully study some form of engineering or computer science.

I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the track. Ultimately, my dream would be to match with a college that combines elite athletic competition with peak academic rigor.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
