I have always had a passion for track and field ever since I was young. My family always said I was fast, and during my childhood many children would want to race me. As soon as I was granted the opportunity to run track, I did so. I started to run track my 7th grade year of middle school. I ran the 400M and the 800M. I originally did not care for the 400M until I got to High school. Suddenly I developed the love for the 400M. Being on the track team since middle school and having previous experience made me feel comfortable coming into high school track. It also allowed me to showcase my experience and abilities to my coach and my fellow teammates. My coaches and teammates enjoy me because of the characteristics I display on and off the track. I have a positive attitude all the time, I am very spiritual lifted, I am determined on the track and in the classroom to get whatever goals I have to be accomplished. Very goal-oriented, I would say. I strive for 100 percent and beyond, and I am not never satisfied with less, if it is not my best. I believe in hard work and determination! I strive hard even when obstacles seems to be impossible. I am an athlete that not only cares about himself, but about others. I am willing to make sacrifices for my team so we all can grow and benefit. I love to see others shine and not just myself.
Running high school track is something I greatly love. I enjoy running the 4x4M relay. A relay can't be ran by one man, so seeing how dependent the team is on me, makes me realized that I am someone who is special and actually worth something on the team. I hold my team together even when we do not run our best. Gratefully we qualified to compete in Indoor state 2019 at JDL Fast Track, located in Winston Salem. This was our main goal during indoor. My mind was fixed to running at the state level so I could feel and know that all my hard work behind closed doors could finally be recognized. I believe and know that running track at the collegiate level will be a great benefit to me and my future team. Having me as a future teammate and athlete would only bring greater blessings, as I have so much to offer! I am very coachable. Having me as athlete, not any coach will have to worry about my grades, as I am heavily focused on my academics. All my life, education has been first to me, because it is an must and it vital before anything else. While running at the collegiate level, I also look forward to pursuing my educational dreams somewhere in the field of Criminal justice.
I appreciate everything this website has to offer me, and I look forward to running track in 2021!
