Thomas Macagg III '21 Recruiting Profile

    As a student athlete, I aspire to be a team leader anywhere and everywhere. As a Christian, I am called to live with a Christ Loving attitude, win or lose. I believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, and God created all. This gives me encouragement throughout the day, and helps me encourage others. I will work hard and push myself and always will do what the coaches ask.

    I started running when I was in the seventh grade. It started when my athletic director encouraged me to try track for conditioning. That is when I fell in love with running. This year, 2018, is my first year running cross country as I played soccer the years before. I love to run because it helps me feel closer with God and helps me relax. 

    During my middle school season, I competed in track and field for seventh and eighth grade. In the mile, I competed in districts for both seasons. My seventh grade year, I finished 5th for district. My eighth grade year, I won the 2 mile district with a time of 11:33 and in the mile I finished 2nd, with a time of 5:27. During my freshman year, the school I attended did not have a track team, so I ran unattached. The times for my freshman year were 5 flat in the mile and in the 2 mile was 11:15.
