Personal Statement
I started running when I was 11 years because my Grandfather said I could not run a mile. I not only ran a mile, but I ran three half marathons before I was 12 years old. My best time was 1:32. I fell in love with running and have continue my running passion in High School. I know that I would be a great addition to any team because I am dedicated, hardworking and I show up with a great attitude and make it happen. Over the years I keep improving my times and setting goals to push myself to the next level. I know that I have not reached my potential and I have so much more that I can learn and accomplish in running. I have ran cross country and out door track for the past 3 years. I ran my first season of indoor track in 2014. I am very interested in running in college and I am looking for a college that can see the potential in me and help me make it to the top of the sport. In November of 2014 I started working with my first distance coach. I have never had a true running coach. I just ran. His name is Lee Brinson and I found out quickly I knew nothing about distance running. My training has changed me as a running and my senior season is going to be a good year. So far this summer I hit a goal of 10 miles in under 60 minutes, which felt amazing. I am looking for a school that has a good business and broadcasting program. I really want to be in sports announcing, marketing etc.... I am great on my feet, ha ha, no pun intended. Really I am able to speak and carry myself well in any situation. Please don't hesitate to contact me via phone or email if you have questions and are interested to learn more about me as a runner. Thanks Broderick Bauguess
