Track hasn’t always been my favorite sport, but once I saw what it was all about it changed my whole mindset around it. I became interested in track the day my football coach from middle school told me that I should try out and I instantly fell in love. Ever since that day I have been grinding every day 110% striving to become better and improving not just my technique, but my coach-ability. I am a very persistent and resilient athlete that loves not only the sport but the process of growing. Some things I’ve learned about track is it only takes one throw to make it big, that moment was when I pr’d 20 feet and qualified for state sophmore year ending in 10th place. I got awarded 2023 NCSA athlete of the year and hope to get it for the next two years. I hope to grow not only with the college I go to but with my coaches.
