DeVan Helmoski '13 Recruiting Profile

I'm 6 feet tall and I weigh 150 pounds. I am a Senior in High School. Some of my accomplishment are that I was All-State in XC my first year of running, I finished 19th overall out of over 150 runners. My second year in XC I was All-Region and All-State, at regionals I finished 8th overall out of over 120 runners. At State I finished 7th overall with a total of 172 runners. It is my dream to run XC in college because I love the sport and it has become my life. I am a team captain and I bring a positive attitude to every practice and every meet. I have also recieved Hardest Worker and MVP for the team. My senior year is going great right now. I have three wins on the season and I haven't finished worse then 24th. My times are about thirty seconds less then last year. I'm very involved with my church and I currently Alter serve for my church. I am a very strong Catholic. I really don't care much if I go to a big or small school, coming from Minto, ND, it is very small. I come from a low income family and things have been tough from time to time. I would like to major in Physical therapy and minor in Chiropractics. What I really would like to do is add a team member to your team. I am all-around a good person and I am very positive.
