Personal Statement
My focus is on baseball and education. I am a well rounded player primarily shortstop, but by chance the best catcher on most teams I play on. I also pitch, and being as I am only 15, my coaches have not allowed me to develop a curveball until just recently, I can not only play any position on the field, but can also run the defense, making the necessary adjustments on the field to properly defend against the hitter in any situation. I am relied on by my coaches to put the ball in play and am known to strike out very little. I have focused on baseball for most of my life and continue to see it as a major part of who I am. I would like to continue with m success in baseball into the college level even if it means I have to try to walk on to a program. I am a good kid, I have never been in trouble, have no bad habits, and always try my best never letting defeat or failure get me down. I am very level headed and not a headcase. My dad enjoyed a lot of success on the diamond as a catcher and he has helped me from a very early age.
