During my time in high school track and field, I have had a new head coach every year. I have had a great time with these coaches and I have a new one this year as well (Please DO NOT call the number given in the coach’s information, I do not know it. The email, however, is correct). I have always worked with my coaches to see what I need fixed and what I can make better. This interaction with my coaches lead me to improve immensely in my main event (the 800m) by dropping 15 seconds off from the beginning of my sophomore year. I did, however, have flaws in my running that take too much time away from regular practice (just some fundamentals). So, I sought to fix those issues during the offseason. Now this is what I do every offseason. I think the most important things in track is the interaction between an athlete and his/her coach and to train in the offseason. Anyone who does not do these things, simply does not do as well in track as those who do (or at least that is what I have observed). I hope this recruiting site does help me find a great coach and a great team.
