I have been dreaming of playing college football since before I could even step on the field. Football has always been a part of my life and I will do whatever it takes to continue to play the game that I love. Football is a one of a kind game that requires every single moving part to do their job each and every play. That is why I love it. It is the ultimate team sport. It is a brotherhood that has never been replicated in any other game. I am from South Charleston Ohio, a small community outside of Springfield. I was born and raised on my family farm. Working on the farm has instilled a work ethic and values in me that I believe not a lot of other recruits have. I have learned about hard work, getting up and doing something even when you don't want to, and toughness from the farm. I have learned the value of a strong work ethic and I have taken that approach to my high school football career. I was first named a starting Linebacker my Sophomore year. I was around 130 pounds, but my coaches believed in me and what I could do even with a size disadvantage. They knew no one would out-work me and no one was more eager to go make a tackle on every single play. I had a successful Sophomore season, but I was nowhere near where I wanted to be. In the offseason I started working out religiously and taking the offseason more seriously than anyone I knew. I gained 45 pounds and played my Junior season at 175 ( I have gained 15 lbs so far this offseason as well). I had an even better Junior season totaling 126 tackles, 4 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries. I was named 1st team all-conference, 1st team all Southwest district, and honorable mention All-Ohio. I completely accredit my success this past season to my work ethic and my off season training. I know I am willing to do whatever it takes to achieve my goals, not only on the field, but in my academics as well. I have always taken school very seriously and I have been able to maintain a 3.6 GPA (Unweighted). I have always been the hardest worker on every team I have ever been on. I have always outworked the athletes who seem to shine naturally, and I don't ever plan on that changing.
