I will be a 2014 graduate from Troy High School. I have been pole vaulting since my freshman year but have taken gymnastics for seven years prior to that. When I began vaulting, my initial personal record was 11 feet. During my sophomore year I cleared 13 feet, and as a junior I achieved the height of 15 feet. Our school record was 14 feet 8 inches and I broke that record at the state meet in Columbus placing third! I have aspired to vault in college and one day join the Olympic team. I have been an honor student all throughout my high school career and will continue to do so next year. I feel I would be a great fit in any college that encourages it's students to excel in athletics and academics. When I attend college, I want to be able to exceed expectations not only in the classroom but on the runway as well.
