Delaney Davis '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Delaney Davis. I was born on August 8th, 2002 and I reside in my hometown of Troy, Ohio. I am a 150 pound, 5 foot 11 inch tall, lefty. I am currently a sophomore at Troy High School. Excelling off the field is just as important to me as excelling on the field. Off the field, I am involved in Key Club along with church groups and various types of volunteer work. I thoroughly enjoy quality time with my family and friends. Listening to music and getting into a good book are a couple of other things that I value and enjoy to do in my free time. 

I started playing t-ball when I was four years old. From there, I continued into the little league baseball, which then led into playing for recreation softball, followed by select teams. I played on the 8U and 10U Troy Terror, 12U STAARS (out of Troy, Ohio as well), 14U Ponytail Express (out of Tipp City, Ohio), and currently 16U Focus Fastpitch (out of Arcanum, Ohio). I have played for my school for four years now as well, Troy Junior High School for seventh and eighth grade and Troy High School for two years thus far. My primary position is first base and right field is my secondary position.  I have also played left field, center field and third base as well. I am beginning CCP (college credit plus) classes next year, as a junior, to jump start my dreams of becoming a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner.  I am an academically strong, dedicated, multi sport athlete that would be an exceptional and valuable addition to your roster. I know that I have self-motivation, pride and confidence to work hard and dedicate myself to accomplish my goals of playing softball at the collegiate level.
