I've been running since my 8th grade year. My first running sport that I did was track and field in the 2015 outdoor track season. My main event was was the 1500m but I also did a mix of other events such as long jump, javelin, and the 4x100m Relay. After my first time running the 1500m race under 5 minutes, one of my coaches on my middle school team put me in contact with the high school cross country and distance coach for track and that's when I really committed to running distance races.
In the 2016 outdoor track and field season, I qualified to go to the State Championships in the 3000m and the 1500m. In the 1500m I came in 11th place by running a 4:26 and in the 3000m I came in 9th place by running a 9:50.
