Sports have always been an important part of my life, but running has stood out to me the most. Ever since I watched my mom run the Boston Marathon, I knew that this was a sport I wanted to excel at and continue doing for many years. On my team I have been one of the top contributors since my freshman year, while leading my team in the 2015 season to our school's first ever cross country conference championship. I was also one of the highest point scorers on my team in the mile and the two mile when we won our 2016 spring track conference championship. I am looked up to by most of the underclassmen on my team not only because of my skill in the sport but for my knowledge and passion for it. The past two summers I attended running camps at West Chester University and Penn State University. My training has intensified this season to running about 45 to 50 miles a week compared to the 20 miles I was running a week in my freshman and sophomore years. I plan on continuing my dedication and devotion to running and academics as I finish high school and move on to college to get me ready for my next chapter in life.
