Alexander Baum '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alexander Baum and my passion for running was sparked in elementary school when my school held charity races. I starting running in these charity races, and found myself to enjoy the competition, which spurred further interest to pursue the sport in middle and high school. In ninth grade, I ran at a varsity level running indoor track across the region (PA, NY, NJ). My greatest achievement to-date was being a member of the 4x800m relay team as a sophomore.  We made it the State finals that year at Penn St.  That was an amazing experience!. Another highlight was running the Penn Relays as a junior. The Penn Relays carry a 128yr tradition, and running in that historic environment was a total thrill.  Going into my senior year, I am on track to break the two-minute barrier in the 800m, and the 50 second barrier in the 400m.
