Since childhood, my obsession with sports has been unwavering. My dream has been to be the best athlete in the world and motivate others to achieve success in their career and lives. In particular, I developed a strong liking for field track events because I believe I had the ability to excel as well as it was the platform to demonstrate my best. I grew up watching athletes in Television posting spirited fight and making their best out of the competition such as Olympics among other international and local competitions. Yearning to also make a difference in my life and excel in track competitions including 100, 200 and 400 m, I focused on learning to manage my activities in a different way; developing the appropriate attitude and mentality of possibility from reading motivational books and confessions from world best athletes. I understand that success requires commitment and concentration and focusing to improve in specific areas of performance to increase the likelihood of achieving a desirable outcome. In light to the aforementioned, I have laid out an elaborate and efficient schedule to achieve both the short term and long term goal to enhance my physical, mental and tactical skills. For instance, I have been training for 3 weeks for the track event due this season. The training encompassed the aspect of sports such as strength training for keeping fit and boosting endurance and tactical training. Additionally, I also took into consideration recovery -adequate stretching, meditation, and nutrition -as a strategic goal toward enhancing my performance in the field track competitions. While physical training and recovery form the basis of success, I will also look up to mentors and people who will inspire hope in helping me grow as an astute and dedicated athlete.
