As a multi sport athlete, I have learned a lot about myself. I have been playing football since 1st grade and one thing football has taught me is about team work and brotherhood. Every athlete on that field works together for the same goal and we depend on each other every game.
I have been Pole Vaulting since 8th grade and one thing it has taught me is that you compete against yourself as well as other teams and even your own teammates. Its a love, hate relationship! We cheer each other on in our accomplishments but in the end, we all want to succeed and bring home the gold! However you are always competing against yourself to get that new PR!
This year I was awarded 2nd Team All District in football. I was also awarded best newcomer of the year, due to I was new to Cypress Christian School. My Sophomore year I advanced to Regionals for Track and Field in Pole Vault at CyPress Ranch High School and this year alone I have increased my PR by 2 feet.
I have worked very hard to balance my academics and my Athletics in order to be successful in both. I plan on attending a school that will allow me to continue my career in Pole Vault as well as continuing my education in Business.
