Being in JV cross country and track as a freshmen was a awesome experience and earning a trophy for placing second in UIL District over all as a team in XC is something I will always remember. Stepping into the track was where I stood out and where my potential and training was put into work . Improving in every track meet kept me going but I wasn’t satisfied so Varsity was a big eye opener. It wouldn’t have been for the help of my coaches and teammates for always helping me push my limits but it was up to me if I wanted to be consistent and make every work out count . My sophomore came along and I finally got to race in Varsity , the beginning had some down falls but I knew right away the road to improve my times and my dream to run in college was not going to lay in my hands .So I had to dig deeper into improving my stamina,traning,self-descipline , and leadership. From putting extra runs everyday , putting time into it , making sacrifices as losing relationships , and i had my doubts but i never lost the love of the pain in training because at end it was all worth getting results. Since I got saved by Christ I’ve been influenced to seek greater goals and surround myself with the right people. I’ve pushed many of my limits and improved in performing better as I know I’m not just doing this for myself but for the Lord. I for what I earn and i do believe i am capable of being in your program as a leader and show how much effort, determination, and skills I have to make a difference in your program.
