Personal Statement
I believe I am an amazing candidate for your school's track team, due to my great leadership and my hard work and perseverance. I joined my schools cross country team my sophomore year, I was the slowest member on the JV team, within 6 months I was already the second fastest in my varsity team. I finished my sophomore year with a 4:49 mile. My junior year showed drastic improvement due to my hard work, I led my varsity cross country team to place first at our Meet of Champs, I ended the XC season with a 17:24 5k. When track season came I opened up the season with a PR of 4:42. In the second to last meet of the season I ran the 800m for the first time, I got first and ran a 2:02. I then started to train for the 800m. I am looking forward to running the 800m, 1600m, and 3200m this track season, and I hope I can continue my career at your school.
