Kendrick Jones '16 Recruiting Profile

I'm an all around athlete. I've been participating in competitive sports since the age of 4 when I started playing baseball.This year I am involved in Varsity football, Varsity basketball, and Varsity Track. I have found that I enjoy competing in track because it is easier for me to focus on me being better. I enjoy running and pushing myself to run faster and jump longer. Track is a sport that I am devoted to. I was Varsity track member as a freshmen and have received track athlete of the year at my school both freshmen and sophomore years. I competed in regional and area track meet and my goal is to compete at the state level. Because I advanced to regional and area meets as a sophomore. I plan to improve on all my numbers this year. I feel that I can do good at just about any activity and one day maybe I can be a decathlon competitor. In addition to sports, I am focused on my grades and graduating in the top 10% of my class. I am taking advanced classes and I participate in a student advisory committee at school. This committee is a selected group of student leaders in each grade level that meet with the superintendent to give input on ways to improve our school. I also work part time. I do find time for myself, so I do what all teenagers do, hang out with friends, which happen to be my teammates. I am a well rounded person and consider myself well liked. I have been involved in the listed sports activities as well as I have also participated on the debate team, which I received a medal in, choir, and a percussionist in band my freshmen year. I am also a member of my church choir.I would make an excellent athlete and team player and I like to win. Competing at the collegiate level would be the next best thing to competing at the Olympic level.
