I have a desire to play for a team that cares about me and the things I am passionate about. I play to win but when I lose I do not hang my head. I desire a positive team environment that supports me in all that I do. I strive for a coach who is personal but does not favor one person. Something that sets me apart from other athletes is my work ethic. I have not been gifted with athletic ability or natural basketball skills. I had to work and work on my skills. I did not have these skills when I walked into high school. I had to decide that this is what I wanted to do and then go with it. I decided I was going to play college basketball after my freshman season. I could have picked an easier route that I was naturally skilled with like softball, but I chose to challenge myself with the task. I spent the summer shooting and running. I decided that even if I was not the best player, I would be the most in shape. So I ran, and ran, I shot 300 made baskets at night after running. I signed up to try out for a Platinum Travel Team to get into more practice. I made the team and played for two teams at one time. I gained experience and now I am a skilled forward for the Lady Vandals. I have parents who support me in all that I do and believe that if you want something you have to work for it. I am ready to take my basketball career to the next level and I hope you consider me for your team. I have not started my junior season yet, but I am excited for what the next two years hold. Thank you for taking the time to read this. -Cassidy Stewart
