Jon Zapata '18 Recruiting Profile

I love my sport and I love the challenge it brings every single day.  I live by three simple words that I strive to achieve daily.  These three words are simple and to the point,  strength, determination and pride.   I work everyday to have the strength to battle any mental or physical challenges that may come my way to try and stop me from achieving my goals.  I have the determination to daily continue to work hard to complete every challenge that comes my way.  I know the importance of working hard and learning to regroup when it seems that too many odds are stacked against you.  Finally, I was taught at an early age the importance of pride.  I always have pride in everything I do and with that in mind I give everything I have to any organization that takes me on as a part of their group.   I aspire to become a pharmacist one day and I want to continue my pole vaulting career while working on my collegiate goal.  I would greatly value the opportunity to find a school where I could excel in both.
