2024 SpotlightPersonal Statement
Running talent is in my genes, but what sets me apart is my dedication, mindset, and ability to push beyond the pain most cannot handle. I started running road races at age 7 and joined Cross Country and Track in middle school. In eighth grade, I finished in first place as WI Middle School State Cross Country Champion. My freshman year, I achieved the fastest freshman time and 14th place in the WIAA Division 2 State Cross Country meet. My 4X800 relay team took 5th at State Track that spring. This year, as a sophomore, I led my Cross Country team to a State Runners-Up title and placed 16th as an individual. I’m looking forward to seeing what I can achieve in the upcoming track season.
