I'm very passionate about volleyball and would love to pursue it at a high level where I can still be challenged academically. In school, I challenge myself with mostly AP and Honors classes. I am able to balance my time in school and on the court and excel in both. I am looking for a college or university that can meet both my academic and athletic goals.
I am a good fit for the middle position because it is one of the most physically active roles on the team. My tenacity and hardworking traits allow me to be physical on the court while using my mental ability to make quick decisions and terminate the play. I have learned to be a leader on and off the court through various activities like my school, Servite High School, Priory class run by students. I volunteered to be a part of the school's "student body" and I teach a class about life lessons that can be used for many circumstances through fun and learning activities. Not only do I have experience of leadership in the classroom, I have been able to transfer it to the court. In the 2022 - 2023 year, I was the captain of my JV Volleyball team and my water polo team at Servite. Here I learned many lessons during the season and a big part of it is how an individual can really impact a group of people. I take advantage of this by being a lead communicator, keeping the team's spirit motivated, and pushing them to be their best selves.
I am extremely competitive and expect that my hard work is reciprocated by my teammates and will always keep them accountable. My hard work and love for the sport is what allowed me to improve in such a short time and there is much more to go. I am excited to see where my passion for volleyball can elevate me as an individual at a collegiate level, academically and athletically.
