Volleyball isn't just a part of my life but it determines how I live my life. The things that I have to do everyday that, for lack of a better word, suck, I can easily get through them, knowing it is going to contribute to the betterment of my volleyball career. This being working out 5 days a week, having to wake up and get in a workout if I have practice later that day. Putting in the time to research how to train like an athlete and how to increase my vertical jump. Training is a big staple in my volleyball journey, I without a doubt believe it is the reason I was able level up my playing so much because of how much more physical I am able to be. Increasing my vertical from a 27in- 36in in 1 year and developing a stronger arm swing is all due to the relentless training that I programed myself and put to work in to jump ahead of my competition. Eating a clean diet is also something I am extremely dedicate to, even though sugar is my favorite thing in the world, I have been free from added sugar for over a year. I have always been putting in the extra effort in school as well, challenging myself with Honors and Dual Enrolment classes to prepare myself for the student athlete life balance in college. I have learned to embrace the suck because the dedication to sport and the steady but constant improvement to my game and my life is untradeable.
