For the past 4 years, I have been engaged in volleyball. Whether it be managing my middle school's girls' team starting in 7th through this year, or being the only player on my teams who plays while also doing book. Since I started playing volleyball I have loved it, and from the beginning, I knew that I wanted to play this sport in college because it's my passion. As a college athlete, my goal is to further develop and build upon my current skills as a volleyball player, while at the same time being academically challenged and apart of a successful team.
Academics is an important thing to me in college. As a straight-A student with a 4.0 GPA, academics have always been huge for me, and I would love to be academically challenged in college. I am a hardworking, dedicated, and responsible student who knows how to manage my time and stay organized when it comes to balancing school and sports.
When it comes to volleyball, I am an experienced and skilled player. I have an amazing foundation of the skills and fundamentals of the game, as well as a strong understanding of the game and how it works. On the court, I am very adaptable and know how to think fast on my feet and make the smartest play. I also have a very quick, fast reaction time which allows me to play the best I can when out of system or on defense. With my main position being a setter, setting is what I do best and it comes naturally to me. I started playing in the 8th grade by practicing with my school's girls' volleyball team. In my 9th grade year, I did camps and clinics and built upon my skills. Currently, in the 10th grade, I play for my school's boy's volleyball team and I played as a setter for Brandywine Volleyball Club.
As a person, I believe that my personality on and off the court is my best characteristic. I am very outgoing, amiable, honest, and I get along great with others. When it comes to a team, I am very team-oriented and great at supporting my team and bringing everyone's energy up. I am always there to cheer and scream for my team, and I am always there to hype everyone up and make sure the team's energy is top-notch.
